Dr. Schock graduated college at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  Subsequently, he received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey in 1994.  He completed his internship and preliminary general surgical training at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan.   He completed his residency in Urologic surgery at the Kennedy Health Systems - University Medical Center in southern New Jersey.  In addition to serving as Chief Urology resident during his training, Dr. Schock received the National Resident Achievement Award from the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.

             After completing his Urology training in 2000, Dr. Schock started practicing as a staff physician here in the metropolitan Detroit area.  He is Board Certified in Urology and has received the distinguishment of becoming a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.

             Since then, Dr. Schock has provided care for thousands of patients in the Oakland, Macomb and Wayne County areas.  He feels it is important to give back to the community and regularly gives free patient seminars on topics such as bladder leakage, prostate diseases, and male sexual health issues.   Additionally, he has published many articles geared toward both patients and physicians regarding the latest cutting edge techniques and medical therapies in the field of Urology.  He serves as Vice Chairman of Urology at Botsford Hospital, and is Clinical Assistant Professor in Surgery at Michigan State University.  In 2009,  Dr. Jeffrey Schock was voted by his peers to be included in Consumers Guide to Top Doctors, 2009.  He was also listed by Best Doctors Inc., as one of Metro Detroit’s Best Doctors in 2009 and 2010.

             Dr. Schock believes in not only evidence based medicine, but the importance of good communication between the physician and the patient.  All communication with patients is treated in a strictly confidential manner compliant with all HIPPA guidelines.
